Atlas Copco HiLight MS5 Lighting Tower: Sustainable and Powerful Solar Illumination
The Atlas Copco HiLight MS5 represents a significant advancement in sustainable and efficient temporary lighting solutions. Designed for a wide range of applications including construction, mining, oil and gas, and outdoor events, the MS5 offers a reliable and environmentally conscious alternative to traditional lighting.
This innovative lighting tower harnesses solar energy, storing it in 2 lithium-ion batteries for silent and emission-free operation. The MS5 features 4 x 150W SMD High Lumen LED floodlights that deliver a powerful 117,000 lumens, providing impressive light coverage of up to 5,278 m² at an average of 20 luxes. The use of SMD LED technology ensures a 20% increase in light coverage compared to traditional COB LED types, maximising illumination efficiency.
The MS5 is engineered for extended autonomy, offering a minimum of 16 hours of operation at 100% and up to 85 hours with the dimming function and ECO mode. The solar panels are designed to work in parallel, ensuring continuous battery recharging even if one panel is affected. Each panel is equipped with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for optimised charging efficiency, with recharging times as low as 5 hours when fitted with 100-amp charger, and/or full sunshine.
Built for durability and ease of use, the HiLight MS5 features a robust HardHat® canopy that protects internal components from harsh environmental conditions. The manual mast extends to a maximum height of 7 meters and offers 340° rotation, allowing for precise light positioning.
The MS5 also incorporates a user-friendly digital ECO Controller with a dedicated control cubicle, enabling real-time monitoring and intelligent control of the unit’s operation, including an automatic start-stop function based on light intensity. The HiLight MS5 can also operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to +45°C, making it suitable for diverse work environments.
